Why this section exists

Nobody in this category publishes an honest comparison page. The search results for every "X vs Y" query in satellite fishing charts are forum threads and secondhand roundups, not the vendors themselves. That leaves a gap we can fill without exaggerating: where a competitor genuinely does more than we do (bathymetry, fishing spot marking, route planning, an offline mobile app, altimetry), we say so directly on the relevant page. Where the comparison is price, latency, or data provenance, we cite our own pricing and data sources the same way we ask a competitor's own page to back up theirs.

Every figure here is fetched from the vendor's own site or app store listing, never from a third-party roundup, and every page carries a visible "prices and features verified [date]" line. Where a price genuinely isn't published anywhere we can verify, the page says "not published" and links the source we tried, rather than guessing.
