The Best SST Charts for Offshore Fishing, Compared
Seven satellite SST and chlorophyll chart services for offshore fishing, with every published price sourced to the vendor's own site or app store listing as of 2026-08-25: Chlorofishy runs $49-$89/year, the rest range from $109 to $200/year, and one (FishTrack) doesn't publish a price without an account.
Prices and features verified 2026-08-25. We recheck this table at least quarterly; if a figure looks stale, tell us and we'll re-verify it.
Price table
Sorted by annual price. Where a vendor sells more than one tier, the current, actively maintained product is listed; a legacy tier is footnoted rather than used as the headline figure.

RipCharts also sells a legacy Standard tier ($99 for the first region, $20 for each additional) that RipCharts' own description says was created in 2007, receives no new features or satellites, and excludes regions added since 2019. See our RipCharts comparison for both tiers in full.
What about ROFFS?
ROFFS (Roffer's Ocean Fishing Forecasting Service) is a real participant in this category, but a different kind of product: a bespoke oceanographic analysis written by an analyst for a specific trip, priced per analysis rather than as a subscription. We could not verify a price from their own site (roffs.com returned an access error to our request), so it has no row in the table above. If you want a person to read the water for a specific trip rather than a self-serve chart, it's worth contacting them directly for a quote.
Why prices vary this much
The $109-200/year spread mostly tracks feature breadth, not quality: services bundling altimetry, currents, bathymetry, and an offline mobile app (Terrafin, RipCharts Premium, Hilton's) sit at the higher end, while single-purpose SST/chlorophyll services (SatFish, FishDope) sit lower. Chlorofishy doesn't offer bathymetry, altimetry, currents, or an offline app, and prices accordingly, at $49-$89/year with monthly billing on every tier. See each page's own feature matrix for what you actually give up or gain at a given price.
