Setting Up an Alert

Draw a rectangle on the map, not a freehand shape, to set up an alert. It resolves to the first region that fully contains it with no buffer, and requires a Pro subscription for that region.

How do I create an alert?

Open the account menu → Alerts → "Create new," then click and drag on the map. The drawing is a rectangle only, sized by the two corners you click and drag between; there's no freehand or polygon option. Once you release, a panel opens where you name the alert and add one or more conditions.

Why does my alert count against a region I didn't expect?

Your rectangle is matched to the first of Chlorofishy's 38 fishing regions whose boundary fully contains it, with no margin for error. Some regions overlap each other slightly at their edges, so a box drawn right in an overlap can resolve to a neighboring region instead of the one you expected, and get rejected if you're not entitled to that neighbor. If creating an alert unexpectedly asks you to upgrade, try drawing it further inside the region you actually intend, away from any shared border.

How do I pause or delete an alert later?

To stop all your alerts at once without deleting them, use the "Alerts active / All alerts paused" toggle at the top of the Alerts list in the account menu; it's a single switch that pauses every alert you have. To remove one specific alert, open it from the Alerts list and delete it from its detail screen.

Setting conditions
