How the Trial Works

Every plan includes a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers. A payment method is required at signup, and it's automatically charged when the trial ends on day 14 unless you cancel first.

Do I need to enter a card to start a trial?

Yes, a payment method is collected at checkout even though nothing is charged that day. On day 14, that payment method is automatically charged the plan's regular price unless you've canceled before then. Cancelling any time during the trial means you're never charged.

Will I always get a trial?

Only your first subscription is eligible. Once you've had any subscription on your account (active, canceled, or otherwise), a later signup goes straight to a paid, immediately-charged subscription instead of another trial. A comped or promotional account grant, on its own, doesn't count against this; even if it has since lapsed, you're still eligible for the trial the first time you actually subscribe.

Will I get a reminder before I'm charged?

Yes, a reminder email goes out a week before your trial ends, sent automatically by our payment processor. There isn't a second reminder closer to the charge date, so if you're not continuing, cancel any time before day 14 rather than waiting for another notice.

Where do I cancel or check my trial end date?

Open the account menu → Billing, where your trial end date is shown directly, and "Manage subscription" opens the billing portal to cancel. See managing your subscription for the full flow, or choosing a plan and pricing if you haven't started a trial yet.
