Preferences

The account drawer's Preferences section holds exactly four settings: temperature units, default layer, default region, and default source. There's no separate settings page and no email quiet-hours option.

What can I actually set?

°F or °C for temperature readouts, which layer (SST or chlorophyll) loads by default, which region loads by default, and whether the map defaults to composites or satellites. That's the complete list; there is no separate account settings page; everything lives in the account drawer. See setting a default source and region for exactly what those two do and when they take effect.

Can I set quiet hours for alert emails?

No, there's no time-based quiet-hours setting. The control you have is an all-or-nothing global pause that stops every alert email until you turn it back on, in the Alerts list inside the account drawer. See setting up an alert for where that toggle lives.

Do preferences sync across devices?

If you're signed in, yes: preferences are saved to your account, not just your browser, so they follow you to another device. As a guest, preferences are local to that browser only. See signing in for the account options, or pricing for what a paid plan adds on top.
